01 · Our Story
In 2024, our family came together with a simple question: what would it look like if we pooled our talents, our networks, and our determination into something we could grow together — and pass on?
The answer is Flatela — public name of holding company FLATELA (PTY) LTD, registered on 9 April 2026 (2026/291183/07). It is structured around work we intend to grow: building homes, working with data, sourcing goods, planning travel, generating cleaner energy, and supporting communities through education.
This company is the direct output of that conversation. Each intended pillar traces back to a real instinct and a real commitment from inside our family. That is our foundation. The pillars are plans for the holdco, not six live trading divisions.

03 · How The Pillars Connect
If the intended pillars are built, the power of the holdco is how they could feed one another. These are planned connections — not executed divisions.
Solar considered in every renovation.
If both lines are built, properties with solar can attract stronger tenants. An Energy quotation would sit alongside Property renovations as standard — an intended connection, not a live service.
Furnished from a shared catalogue.
If Retail imports furniture, it could furnish Property renovations at cost and serve as a showcase. That is how the lines are meant to feed each other.
Educational excursions, end-to-end.
If Education organises school programmes and Travel is operating, Travel could manage the logistics. Shared relationships would be the point — when both exist.
A flagship solar installation.
If an Education Centre is built, it could be powered by Energy work — uninterrupted learning during load-shedding, and a live demonstration. Planned, not installed.
Learner systems and dashboards.
If both lines operate, Data & Technology could build learner systems, surveys, and outcome dashboards for the Education Centre.
